About Storey

On your wedding day, I have the privilege of being able to tell your story through a series of natural, thoughtful and emotional photographs. These photographs will show a great deal about the spirit of your personalities, your love for each other, and the love among your family and friends. I will create a legacy of that day so that your children and grandchildren will be able to appreciate what you are all about. What an honour.

My goal is to send a shiver down your spine when you look at your photographs. I want you to be thrilled with the way I captured your interactions and emotions. I achieve this by being in the right place at the right time, and by pressing the shutter at the pinnacle of the moment. I work to see the world from your perspective and then use my own style combined with a respect for light, composition and form to preserve that day forever.

My approach to portraiture is the same. I believe photography should accurately reflect who you and your children are, capturing you in your best light. I find the rhythm of your family. I study the qualities of your children that make them so precious. This helps to make the moments I photograph more meaningful and timeless.

As a photographer, I am a keeper of the spirit of people. Could this be the greatest job on earth, second only to the job of mother? Perhaps.

Storey has her Master of Photographic Arts from the Professional Photographers of Canada, where she holds accreditations in Wedding Photojournalism, Wedding Story, Environmental Wedding Photography, and Child Study.

About David

David has ‘been at it’ for a good thirty years. He’s gone through countless cameras and accessories, and now knows it’s exactly what his dad originally said it was: Light and expression. If we were adding a few more things - terms like style, elegance and solid technical excellence would be listed.

David has a history of over 25 years in state, national and international judging, and panel-chairs the ‘Premier Category’ for first time entrants at WPPI to great acclaim from participants due to its emphasis on education and helpful, positive feedback.

A Master of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (II), a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, and a recipient of the Accolade Lifetime Achievement Award from WPPI. David is also an Accredited member of the PPOC.
